Does anybody remember the free Stars plugin that was posted on the old LightwaveGroup forum? I can't remember who the author was, but I think they posted regularly there. I just remember that plugin giving fairly nice results. Wondered if the author was still around and continuing development?

If no one remembers I think if you do a search on the newtek site there is a thread there on that same plugin.
The plugin was by Darklight. I took a look but the links were all dead.

All right Steve! Thank you for stepping in with that. It will be nice to recover yet another of our lost pieces.

Steve I am remembering correctly that there was a 64bit version? Or was that just something that had been requested?

Thanks much Steve. :)
UB ver. per chance?
While we're on the subject: Anyone hear anything about Filip and his Hyperstars, Hyperspace, Hyperglow plugins (http://www.ficatech.com/) for LightWave being updated and compiled for UB Mac?
I have emailed him several times, and he seems to be MIA...
Hope he is OK.
Plus, I really want those plugs for my Mac Pro.
I've read about StarPro making star-fields, but does anyone know if it also does an awesome Hyperspace efx like Filip's Hyperspace?

That database isn't compatile with the plugin, although i could take a look at adding the Hipparcos/Tycho-2 Star catalogue to the plugin.
There's no 64-bit version of the plugin at the moment, but it should be simple enough to compile one. I'll give it a try as soon as i get some free time.
