I like the idea and the scene in general... but it lacks depth, and it looks a bit too dark and flat for my liking. The explosions are well done in PS although the lighting for the scene doesn't match the color of the explosions in the final image. I would personally like to see this one get the ILM Star Wars lighting treatment to it with better explosions (Star Wars, not yours).
Just my two cents ;)

Hmm, must admit this image isn't really doing it for me. As Matt says it just seems too flat, the lighting lacks interest and is too dark, and the light from the explosions is different to their colour. Why are the explosions purple anyway? It just looks like they were colourshifted at the last minute and I don't think that colour choice adds anything to the scene.
