Hi guys, here is a render ot the new JFST Weasel. Planed for the german Heer during the next years. Build the version secondary to Weasel Ozelot.

C&c are welcome, is my first image since a long time of building:rolleyes:

Looks a bit too clean for going through all that muck. The mesh is fantastic though!

That is one very cool render but like Mikala said, the lack of mud all over the unit was a dead give away. I am quite impressed with the mud being flung by the tracks though. The exhaust is a good touch too.

This has the makings of a great image but at the moment there are a few things ruining it for me.

First up the focus, the background is really quite defocused which makes the stark sharpness of the tank stand out too much.

I think the exhaust smoke looks too soft and blobby, less like smoke and more like cotton wool.

I also suspect that the scale might be a bit off? I don't know how big the tank is supposed to be, but you've got it driving down a road with clear wheel-ruts from cars, but the tank isn't even as wide as that? It feels like it ought to be bigger.

And the cleanliness that others have mentioned.

Otherwise it's really good. The lighting is very well done, it's a great model and the mud coming off the tracks looks excellent. :D

Just check his WIP thread, you'll see this thing is tiny, so the scale isn't far adrift if at all.

Oh, almost forgot to comment, I do think the grade of the tank is not in keeping with the background, and the smnoke could use some tweaking too as Rheeazeeiziy mentioned, otherwise, I like it.

Cheers!

Thanks for your commentaries:) About the mud at the chassis - sometime not to
see the wood for trees -
I think i overwork the image again some points of your feedback are right.

I always liked the Wiesel since it's such a tiny capable recce-vehicle .. no other C&C than those mentioned here above, just one thing to add, the lights, I'd soften those, they attract too much attention at first sight (which is quite bad for a recce-vehicle btw :D)

I agree with all of the above comments; put mud and dirt on the tank, defocus the tank, etc.

Matching the mud from the tracks to the image is really well done. You certainly picked a challenging background to composite into.

Just take a look at nessie's avatar.. you'll see what things look like when they play in the mud :)

About the only thing that I noticed on it now is that the wheels need some blur to make them look like they are spinning.

Looking dirtier now. Still need some mud on the lights.

Coming along nicely... What is the maximum height a crew member can be to be assigned to it? I know from experience just how tight Armor vehicles can be inside...

I also remember how hard it was to get Grafenvier clay off my vehicles...
