Hi guys,

This is a new one on me... Anyway I want to try and make a customised transition for some of my video work in SpeedEDIT. I've noticed DVE's like the "DoNot" and "Recycle" transitional DVE's in SpeedEDIT and am wondering if it's possible to create something similar with my own design. I had initially thought of using an image as an Alpha Channel and making a transition using that, but according to some forums I've visited, SpeedEDIT isn't capable of this, so I need another solution.

Rumour has it that Lightwave is capable of creating DVE's for many different NLE's such as VT, and presumably SE. The problem is the process doesn't sound like a straightforward one and there are no instructions on this that I can find. Does anyone have any leads?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

closest thing I can find is this...
http://www.newtek.com/lightwave/tutorials/rendering/dve/dve.html

Its for an older version of LW, and not incredibly informative. But it's better than a kick in the face.
