I've had the 3D for this shot rendered for ages now, to the point that I've actually lost the scene since. Anyway I decided to Photoshop what I had rendered and push this out to final.

Nice detail work on the Battletech/Robotech Marauder/OfficerPod. The surface aging looks great! I will be saving this in my mecha pic collection.

Not sure if you want ideas for the image or not, but you may try a light gaussian blur on the back ground mech and at the rear edges of the Maruader so that the depth of field created in the photograph carries through on the models.

I love this design. Glad you finally outputted this. Looks almost like when the farmers out on the prairies here used to put old machinery in an unused part of the farm. Sort of a machine cemetery.

This looks very cool :tu:

The integration of the wrack in the background behind the bushes is certainly above the skills of the likes of me...

But, if I may be so bold... the Mech in the centre of the image seems to be floating slightly above the ground; maybe that is because its feet don't have exactly the same orientation as the ground...
And I think it shouldn't be casting a shadow on the the plants in the very foreground...

Its a good image Rhys, the lighting is nice, but the mech itself seems too sharp compared to the rest of the image, the focus should be slightly off.

Nice shading on the model, but it just doesn't sit in there at all. At the very least you could probably use some visible CA's around the mech/sky boundary.

Cheers!

Nice picture Rhys. I remember you working on this over on the old LWG site.

Hey Meurig . . I like this one . . good title, it had me thinking about the guy inside, I guess he just walked off the field of battle and left it there . . .
