The Galaxya, Built in the year 2068 it is the icon of space travel,
but of course its not 2068 yet anyway how do you people like it. :D

The ship right now is about 50,000+ polys.

I'm am not finished with this ship yet, when I am finished the total polygon count
should add up to about 160,000+ polys :jawdrop:

Note. I have never built a ship with over 150,000+ polys yet, or even close to that much polys,
the highest poly ship I built in the past was about 40,000+ polys, so this is really Exciting for me :D

 Its still awesome Right?

It's a nice looking ship.

For the renders without backgrounds, either give the ship a lighter colour, or more light. It's a bit hard to see against the black background.

Hello JTech, I think its coming along great. I have built several ships but only one over 150,000 polys, and it takes a Lot of time and patience. Oh and its still awesome!

Reminds me a bit of a Boron ship from X3.

Looks like this is still a WIP? A little confused on that part since you’re still working on it.

I like the design of the ship, It’s unusual and a bit unorthodox, which I like. It opens new avenues of thought. You’ve handled the separation areas well and I like the suggestion of heavy paneling.

However, the paneling looks like an applied bump map and it is noticeable which takes away from the work on the ship itself. For the type of paneling you’re suggesting it wouldn’t be that difficult to use geometry. Perhaps that is what you have in mind for the high poly count, if so, then just consider this an observation and not a crit.

I am also curios if this ships has ports or windows. The reason I am asking is that they would provide a sense of scale which is missing at the moment.

Thx alot :D for the advice ( bmckain ) and I don't think your criticizing my work, :) I think its good that you and others observe and critic my work it helps me get better in 3D, anyway I will try that and, yes I will be adding more windows and add door hatches
and alot of other things to the ship, thats why it should add up to about 160,000+ polys. :)

ohh one more thing what does WIP mean?
