Ok, I really hope someone can see what I am missing here, but I am rendering my Bugatti Veyron, and all four rear light clusters use the same material set, indeed I have deleted the two right hand clusters in modeller, and mirrored the left ones back over to ensure they are the same.

The problem as you can see is that one cluster is rendering different to the other three. Can anyone PLEASE help as to why? It is absolutely doin my nut in.

Cheers!

That is weird.

Ummm, just some guesses here:

1) using an incidence angle on anything?
2) the lights in that cluster are off?
3) a texture is placed wrong?
4) transparency setting was magically changed for that one cluster?

My first thought would be that it's reflecting something that the others aren't, or not reflecting something that the others are. Does it error when rendered from other angles?

I know you said that you mirrored it but be damned if the outer lens doesn't look like its gone or flipped.

I concur with Bill, it looks like it's been flipped for some reason. I have noticed this error with previous versions of LW but not with the current versions.

What about when rendered without the rest of the car - just the lights as is? If they were deleted and re-mirrored, there should be no flipped or surfacing problems. Maybe render it with a different HDRI? The cause of the error is something quite odd!
