I attended another flickr photowalk in LA a few weeks ago and as usual we all had a great time. We started in Pershing Square, walked to the Central Library (an incredible building, I highly recommend a visit if you're in LA and like architecture), then moved on to the downtown skyscrapers on and around Bunker Hill (where we got harassed by the usual self important security guard). We then walked down the Angels Flight to the Grand Central Market and down Broadway back to Pershing Square again. Some of us then walked over to Little Tokyo for the best ramen noodle soup I've ever had at Daikokya restaurant.

Here are a few of my favorites:

The Biltmore Hotel, US Bank Tower, & Gas Company Tower from Pershing Square.

Some of the downtown architecture.

And some of the art downtown, the first is part of the fountains at the Central Library and the second is a sculpture at the CIty National Bank Plaza (Heroes fans might recognize it as the site of the final confrontation between Sylar and Peter Petrelli in the first season).

Looking straight up from the middle of Grand Avenue (there's a pedestrian island) you can get four of the downtown buildings in frame at once.

Grand Central Market.

Some of the old historic buildings along Boradway:

Some of my flickr friends:

On the way home I was passing Disneyland while the fireworks show was in progress so I snapped some long exposures as we passed, I think the car induced shake gives them an interesting look.

There's some fine work there, I'm having a difficult time choosing a favorite but I think the ones that strike me most are #2 and #11.

You have to wonder how many times the place in #12 didn't get their pizza delivered. :)

The older buildings certainly have a lot of style compared to the modern glass towers.

Nice photos.
