My finished models created during LWG era
I thought that since we made a clean start with the forums, i might should collect all my finshed work in one thread.
When going throught my HDD, i noticed that i didnt finish that much models. ;)
So thats why i will only show you what has been finished because showing the unfished models too could take a few days.
Models created by me:
NVIDIA g-force 440
this was the last model i did a coumple of months ago.
i had this card lying around next to my desk and once thought that i could create it in Lightwave.
the "biggest problem" i had was how i could create a high quality texture map for the board.
the solution was quite simple.
i dismantled the card (removed fan ect.) and placed it on my scaner. the result was a quite good texturemap.
i have to admit that i went quite insane on detailing. for some reason i had to model each little device of that card. ;)
1381 1382 1383 1384
can not remember who it was, but someone said that the untextured model looks like cars on a big parking lot. :D
It is available for :: download :: (http://www.foundation3d.com/index.php?categoryid=38&p13_sectionid=91&p13_fileid=311) if someone wants to take a look
Global Orbital Defence (GOD) Satelit
Not much to say about this one. I guess that everyone who knows Babylon 5 knows the GOD-Satelit.
1385
Biggest challange for me was to setup the animation of the insane amount of missiles and the caps covering the missile tubes.
It is also available for :: download :: (http://www.foundation3d.com/index.php?categoryid=38&p13_sectionid=91&p13_fileid=102) and contains a fireing animation.
Halo: Monitor 343
every Halo player knows this annoying little sucker ;)
1386
when i started with the modeling, then i have to say that i underastimated the complexity of the shape.
since my modelingskills are not realy good, i have been recreating this model maaaaany times, until i got it "right".
i have build it with splines. as soon as i find out how to use nurbs, i might re-do that thing ;)
If you want to take a look, then you can :: download :: (http://www.foundation3d.com/index.php?categoryid=38&p13_sectionid=91&p13_fileid=170) it too.
Halo: Pillar of Autumn
This is the biggest project i have evers started and finished. :D
It took me more then one year from the first modeling start to the finished textured version.
1401 1402 1403
Many sections have been redone over and over again, because my modeling techniques got quite a boost during the creation of it.
so it happened quite often that when i was finished with the last section/model, i started again at the first one with remodeling :P
It is also quite polyheavy, because i was taken away by the nurnie-deamon.
The only thing i regret is that i didnt "export" the original WIP thread in some way. :(
You can :: download :: (http://www.foundation3d.com/index.php?categoryid=38&p13_sectionid=91&p13_fileid=103) it from the resources.
Voyager Warp Core
Someone was once requestion a model of the Voyager Warp Core for a fan movie (which i never seen, if it got created).
1387 1388 1389
Nothing special about this model. :)
:: download :: (http://www.foundation3d.com/index.php?categoryid=38&p13_sectionid=91&p13_fileid=105)
Wallpapers:
Bad Boys, Bad Boys
once i was watching Bad Boys 1 and one episode of Star Trek - Voyager one evening.
as an result i came up with this whacky idea.

Conversions:
At the time i started using Lightwave, my modeling skills were not exsistant. So i decided to try to make some scenes.
"Sadly" i could only find 3ds Max versions of the Models i was interested in. This was then the reason why i started to convers several models from 3ds max to lightwave.
All conversions have been released with the permission of the original author.

Converting this model was quite "fun". befor i started with the conversion i send him a email and requested his permission for the conversion. but for months i did not get a response.
then out of nowhere i got a email from him and he allowed me to convert it.
he then registered an account in the old LWG3D forums and was monitoring the conversion.
at the point where he then said that it looks like his max version, i was "allowed" to release it. :)

So this was the past.
In the future i will try to improove my "finished models : unfinished models - ratio". :)
