Hey everyone im just about to start my final project for the course im currently doing. Im going to model, texture and do a little animation of the Back to the future delorean. Ive done a little work on the model and making some progress but i need a little help when comes texturing, Im in a debate on wether to texture it with some metal like textures or try and do it with nodes. I havent really had much time to play with nodes and not really sure how to create the look i want. I have played with some of the chrome presets but they dont quite give me the look im going for.

If anyone here has had any luck with creating a nice aluminum like effect with nodes in lightwave and could point me in the right direction, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

I've never done it with nodes but a tip for any bare metal. Set your environment first. Metals need things to reflect to look real. Any change in the environment will make the metal look different. Even a change in lighting can make it look different. Determine those first and then start building. Also what version of LW are you using and can you use 3rd party nodes or just stock LW ones?
