I make a short animation where a cargo container drops on the street and slides towrds camera. I rendered background movie, and now I make some street parts flying, but.....
there is a lamp post and I cant making it to break away. All else is behind container, but that lamp post?
Is only choice to make animation all again and break lamp post there?
I add also some sparks there.

If the camera is not moving render off one frame with the lampost not there. Then render an animation of the lampost flying off whith nothing in the background (maybe even make the background green), then comp it together in a comping programme using the new background plate to replace the lampost when you need to. Hope that made sense.

Yes i think GR is right, comping it in is the only way you can do it without re-rendering your anim.
I'd animate the lamp post in your scene, then when your done done render it out on green. If anything passes in front of the lamp post id texture that green and render it out with it. this will cut it out when you comp it in.
Im just repeating what GR has just said realy..

Thanks fo r advice, that is good solution and I write it down for later use, but.....
camera is moving away from falling container. So perhaps I must render all new. Mistakes are good, so next time I will check all more careful. :td:

I went and smoke couple of Marlboro and have a solution. I could make a short movie only of last part, where lamp post falls, and then in AE stamp it above original? So I render only about 30 frames.

Sure. You don't even have to comp them over the existing frame. Just render the last few frames from where the post gets hit, then replace those frames with the new ones.

Now latest animation test is ready and you can see it here:
I build a new interface in my site so it is now only beginning state. Click tv-screen and you see that animation.

Looks Great! love the camera angle of the container falling from the sky but I do have a few suggestions.
1: Motion blur.
2: I think the container should bounce just a bit when it lands.
3: The sparks from the container scraping on the pavement should change color.
4: Perhaps some chunks of pavement curling form the leading corner.

Looks cool, i think the animations are pretty good but the lamp posts that fly away seem to really want to leave the ground if you know what i mean. I think the laws of physics should effect the objects a bit more. The lamp post for example gets hit and explodes off the ground when in reality it would bend and finally break from its ground support.
