What's the best easu way to make animated GIF's these days?
I used to have an ancient prog (GIF magic?), which gave all sorts of colour depth type options to tune size vs quality, without any messing about...

I use Adobe ImageReady Cs2 for animated gif work.

I also use ImageReady. It's very handy for editing and animating gifs.

Animation Shop (what I use is from PSP7) is great for optimizing and editing animated GIFs but for quick and dirty work there's also VirtualDub (www.virtualdub.org) - I've only tried it a couple of times but the feature I like the most is that it can take a series of images and pack them to animGIF without throwing gazillion dialogs at me.

Back in the days of PS7 I used Imageready, but haven't figured out how to do it with the CS's yet. I haven't -needed- to do it, actually, since ... uhh ... Photoshop 7, actually. :P

I use photoshop CS3's animation tools. Same features as imageready, I think- just rolled into photoshop proper.

Yes, Photoshop CS3 is the best compare to ImageReady. Because it contains many new features which are not available in ImageReady.
