View Full Version : Company poster project

24th Dec 2007, 10:35 AM
The first in a series of 3 - 4 posters featuring our company logo in various settings. We intend to print them out and put them up around the studio. I'll post the rest in this thread as we finish them.:)

This is the first, entitled "Disease".

C&C welcomed ;)

EDIT: forgot to mention, it was modeled and rendered in LW, color correction in PS :)

Your company sees itself as a Disease? :)

I love the look of it. Its got that nice electron mic look to it and the blue is a nice contrast.

Yea and hopefully contagious!!

It's just some sort of showcase of the variety of our styles and capabilities. The images will also be used in our website later ;)

Nice... what is it sitting on? I was thinking a tounge, and those were tastebuds, but I'm not sure now...

Just a random microscopic surface :D

All those blobs and "flowers" are simply incidental detail to make the picture look interesting :)

Nice work, I don't fancy trying to recreate microscopic work but it is cool.

I'm not sure who it was, but I do remember creating microbes in the scanning electron microscope style back in LW 7.5, gosh, must have been about 6 years ago now!

Nice job :)

Thats actually a pretty cool effect.

Alec: Yea...it's kind of an old school effect but I thought it looks good with minimal effort.

Thanks for the comment guys, I'm working on the second poster as we speak :)

The third and latest "Under Construction"

I'm the least satisfied with this, but since there are other work to be done I have to leave it as it is.

Mysticism is my favorite one so far aeres... the way it just fits into the image is fantastic and very well done - the texturing looks pretty cool too :)
