Canon 7D

Picked up my Canon EOS 7D last week. These images were shot with the Canon EF500L IS and a 1.4 extender giving me 700mm focal length. I am very impressed with the new AF for this prosumer body.

The birds in flight are really cool (I've no idea what they are though...if it's not a robin, a magpie or a piece of kentucky fried chicken then I haven't a clue about our feathered friends.) Back to the pictures....have you done any post work on the birds in flight as they almost look like paintings?

I noticed when I went to visit the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, that a laerge proportion of the entries there were taken with Canon EOS series cameras...

Missed this thread and have to say the images look sharp. I would be curious to see a portion of the raw results for one of the images, especially around the eyes. What ISO were you at btw?

Hehe, no, the 7D was the first purchase, then I was a bit like hitler, finding out two days later about the release of the 550D. The camera shop kindly gave me my money back for the 7D and I bought the 550D. :)
