As I am one of those oddballs that sits all the waaaaaaay to the end of a film to watch all the credits roll (at home or at the movie theater), I was wondering if anyone has experienced the pure coolness of having seen their name roll by on the big screen (or the TV screen too).
I was watching the new Harry Potter film the other day and I saw Meurig's name up there (Cheers and congrats to that Rhys!), and I wondered if I could spot anyone else's name here on any other shows...
I have seen my friend Alain's name on BSG also, so anyone else had that dream come true yet?
If so, please toot your own horn a bit (hey, you were asked, so it's OK to talk about yourself a bit) and let everyone know here what you did, and on what show you did it for, and a BIG congrats ahead of time from me eh!
I hope to join your ranks one day soon. :)

Alas as i only worked a short time on Potter, I am demoted to uncredited (bastards), and of course I don't get specific credit on the Muse Absolution video either (or game FMV/TV commercials stuff either).
Cheers!

AHHH! Too friggin' cool, you got a IMDb listing! And with your pic no less (I assume you were gracious enough to upload that to your listing).
That is so way cool mate!
Did that just happen via IMDb and their keeping track of things, or did you have to apply or something?
Too friggin' cool. Well done!!! :)

Ah too cool, there's Rhys' IMDb listing too! Couldn't find the other guys as I don't know their full names, but cool for them too. :)

Not much, but it was my 15 minutes of fame. I worked as a VFX Modeler on Props, V Sets, and some vehicles for several episodes of this series. Got to bask in the glow of greater minds (and their monitors) who were also working on ST: Voyager.
Miss greatly Kyle's comedy routine on Capt. Picard and Mr. Crusher... :p

Well, my name has been on-screen at least once (small-time independant premiere), but I never got a chance to see it. No IMDB listing, although I probably just need to pester Mark until he updates his list of films. The only other project listed there doesn't list me (or most of the other VFX guys). Although if it was updated to list me, and the game allowed non-actor connections, I'm only two steps away from Kevin Bacon. :)

Craig, you worked on Star Wrecked! That was such a wonderfully funny parody (and the models were very convincing).

Nothing big screen but a few small screen. And then only by contract so no on screen credits.

Craig, you worked on TGC? I didn't know that, what did you do?
Oh and here are Jez and Fabio's pages.

I did some initial work on the ice landscapes, did a small bit on the inside of the stone palace. I also modelled the wire fence that gets ripped apart by the bear, and the fire hurler catapult. In reality I was on the project for around 6 weeks only before I left to go back north to Sheffield. You can see the catapult from TGC, and most of my underdog stuff in the Framestore-CFC section of my website.
Cheers!

And yeah Craig I remember you mentioning the TGC stuff now that I think about it..... though I must admit I don't remember the catapult in the film, or a scene where they were likely to use one? :/
I should have another onscreen credit shortly. In a month for us in the UK and a fortnight for you lot in the US, since Cloverfield is about to be released :D

Only once on the insanely low budget syndicated kid's show "Roger Rocket Videos". I did the opening title sequence and was credited for it.

Pretty much all of Jimmy Neutron (lighting and Effects) and the Ant Bully from DNA/Warner Bros. There are a couple of other game Cinematics too that haven't posted yet, like the Tranformers video game that was released recently.
I'm also uncredited on the BSG Miniseries, where I did a little modeling work and I will be adding a couple of more features to the list this year now that I'm at DreamWorks Animation. Kung Fu Panda will be the next one.

I'm only in Indie stuff at the moment. But i'm not particularly proud of the work i did there for 3d so i dont really advertise that either. (the stuff I made was terrible, partially because the job description kept changing and a lunatic with after effects is an evil monster indeed).

I'm not sure sure you ever see them actually used, and I think (but can't swear to it) that they may be seen more in the second movie. Shame cos the catapult design was pretty neat. Anyway, ho hum :D

Well, I'm on a couple of documentaries, but mostly just our sports programming (some of which is national). Nothing big time, though.

Hmm, There were a few episodes of a show called Assembly Required that aired on the National Geographic I believe, one was about shaving, one about toilets, concrete etc.
Before that one on the history channel called Super Tools and I did 2 or 3 episodes of that as well.
I also did a season of "It could Happen Tomorrow" on the weather channel, just some random destruction graphics and 2d stuff. This was extra basic stuff and one day turnaround so I don't even like to share it.
I did that for about 5 months then took a long break from freelance 3D, got pretty hectic. Now I am getting back into it again but with caution though I'm always available for work or I try to be, even if it’s for fun.
Lately I’ve been messing or trying to mess with 3D + Live footage. Wish I had the $$ for a high def camera lol. It is hard to do tracking on crappy SD footage. Mostly for fun but hopefully one day I'll get a chance to work on something bigger and more fun or even maybe (gasp) make my own. :) I have a 'regular' job but 3D is great and if I get paid for it, even better :).

2D animation is my main job and I worked on a few features in the past. Not so much these days as nobody seems to make 2D films anymore. My recent work has been TV series (mostly kids stuff) using CelAction software.
The "Paulie" film involved some 3D (I was working at CFC in London - they were using Houdini and the the software that later became Maya) but my role was simply directing the character animation and I didn't get to play on the computers - just sat behind the animators and pointed at things!
I do usually sit through the credits of films though as there are always some friends or ex-workmates in there somewhere and I'm always curious to see who's doing what now.
It's nice to see what people here have worked on too.

My only IMDB credit belongs to a TV Series I "co-produced" from 2002-2003:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1636126/
The producer was a very talented physical effects guy...but he absolutely loathed anything CG.
Aside from that, the film project I wrote and directed -- which did get a big-screen premiere in 2007 in Minneapolis -- never gets added to IMDB. I've tried several times to get it listed, but it never works out.
Oh, well.
