Gents hi

I finally put the brushes down on this one today.

Oil on canvas
36" x 18"

Shamrock 201, a Phantom F-4J scores the only aerial kill (of a VPAF MiG 21) by a USMC aircraft during the Vietnam war, 11th September 1972.

This painting was created using the Mesh Factory F-4N model which I retextured and posed in Lightwave. I was then able to render images that I used as references for the lighting of the aircraft, and the creation of the line drawings that I then transfered to the canvas. The background is based on an image from google earth composited into the scene.

So very much a mix of new and traditional skills

C&C welcome

Pete

Again based on a retextured Mesh Factory F-4B within LW.
