That's what I like about that Nautilus; it actually looks like some great beast lurking on the surface.
The island looks very nice. Was that done with procedurals? I think the rocks on the right side are a bit too pointed though.

Uv's....
Re. Too pointed? *sigh* See ? this is what I deserved for trying to be all Artzy.
Yup they are too pointy, You know it And I knew it, but a certian ART student lookijng in on this over my sholder commented on "HOW CLEVER" it was to subliminally represent all the ship s the Nautilus had sank with the hull shaped rocks ........ Thought I was being smart :o Sod symbolisim,( I don't get that stuff either mate....) the rocks is rocks and yep, them Rockz is too pointy.. I shoulda fixed them in the first place ! :o

Never give up on Artzy . . . . Artzy's good :)
So someone finally did Nemo's ship . . . can we see that thing out of the water?
and more importantly, where did you find ref materials to build her?

ROTFL.... GP........ Both Bob and myself have Current Build threads for two independent versions
My Build process is HERE http://www.foundation3d.com/forums/showthread.php?t=859&page=5 (http://www.foundation3d.com/forums/showthread.php?t=859&page=5)
With plenty of views of the build so far in there too.....
@Bob... Acid RAIN ;) Clean copper.... or how about, an artzy metaphore and a global statement about the sinister effeect of high ambient lighting and mankinds disinclination towards adjusting it and re-rendering.
LOL.., Truth be told. I left the surface exactly as per the med rez build and scamped this scene up around it. My best guess is that the high spec and reflectivity of the build surface are both a touch overdone for a scene like this.... options.. scrap it and render it again tweeking surfaces each time. or Ignore the fact that it's not exactly what I intended the hull to look like and refer to it as ART instead
:o.....

Ummmmm my excuse is i don't get into the wip forum much this past month . . . . :D
That's a nice build . . . I had in mind the one from "The League of Extraordinary Gentleman"
That one seemed a bit cleaner . . or is that the one you are building.

He's building the one from Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. I didn't like the one in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I'm still waiting to be impressed. :)
