Single seater submersible.

Well, this little fishy is a personal project of mine as part of a modular craft. The single cockpit is the only real universal thing here, but you have a drive core at the center with dorsal and ventral attachments to it with the auxiliary systems and accessories, then a port and starboard attachment for the maneuvering systems.

Since this is a submersible, there are forward, mid and aft dive planes plus two rudders center-line aft and one on the ventral side. Since this is a WIP, two sets of images are shown, one with the various angles shown, and another with the drive system I'm taking to call a drum engine for lack of a better term. Two sets of two drums that counter rotate against each other for balanced thrust.

One of the things that this build is going to feature other than a separate and self contained cockpit pod, is multiple poses in case the pod needs to be ejected. The port and starboard sections are actually hinged with a 10 degree movement so that the bow planes are actually a jaw like motion to allow the pod clear egress in case of emergency.

Are you looking to rig it? Looks like lots of nice moving parts to me...

Angel Natavi 4th Mar 2016 03:41 PM

Aye, that I am. Everything that can be rigged will. Everything from the drive systems, to the controls.

Interesting design. I assume there's a prop on the back end?

Angel Natavi 5th Mar 2016 07:10 PM

Not really a 'prop' in the traditional sense, but a drum fan for propulsion.
