Maybe because I already have LightWave, I know how to model with it, and I want to improve on the rendering half of the equation. Also, OctaneRender isn't the be-all-end-all; I am quickly discovering all the things it can't
do, so LightWave's render engine still comes in handy when I'm using it.
(p.s., in case anyone's wondering... I know I said I abandoned LW for 3ds Max but that turned out to be a big mistake; I canceled my subscription and went back to LightWave for the time being.)
