I saw that a few days ago. It is amazingly awesome and there has to be easy potential for this, right now. Imagine your monitor as a window to a game world. That would be incredible for my 42 inch plasma. I want this developed quickly, now now now.

I bought a bluetooth dongle for £6, got it working in 10 mins. It's pretty cool. I might try some of his other stuff now. I hope someone is attacking this full time for a game plugin or something!

That is really cool.

I have to admit that I have a TrackIR at home, and his work reminded me of that.

These days I'm more interested in seeing if I can use the TrackIR in Lightwave, as I don't fly sims (or even play most games) that much any more. Wouldn't it be cool to just move your head in to get a closer look at your mesh in Modeler?

I've also got the interactive whiteboard working now. It's funny, at work we either have interactive boards or just projectors. The projectors cost about £600, the whiteboards a couple of grand. For a wiiremote and an IR lED and an LED light keychain thing (all told about £35) we can all have interactive whiteboards. Just need to hook up a permanent 3V DC feed to the wiimote once mounted to keep it powered on - not hard, just a transformer (maybe another £5).

Cool I have only a projector so will be doing this next week, to the amazement of my collegues I bet.

Loco is a realtime motion capture and recording piece of software.
Using special goggles you (the actor) can see into the 3D world with your own eyes, and interact with it.
All the motion capture animation is written realtime to disk, and you can export the whole deal as a Lightwave scene.

I work for the company that designed Loco (and the technology behind it). If you're interested I can ask the developper if I can release more information about Loco and the engine behind it. Lightwave users might find the technology behind Loco VERY interesting.
