AS a new user, I want to thank you for this type of training. Now if I could just get my cable connection to behave like one and not as if it is a dial up service!

There's nothing about animating a metal chain? I really need to be able to do this. Move one link and have it draging all the others.

If you're in Layout, select an object and hit "m" for motion options. Under the Modifiers drop down there should be a modifier that says FX_Link. I believe that's the one you want. |

No matter what I do, I can't get the chain to work. The links eather don't move, get's distorted, or pops out of the chain. I'm trying to use a multiple of a single link to make the chain as long as I want it to be.

Have you looked at his video on animating tank treads? That may be more applicable to your project.
Or go here (if you haven't already): http://newtek.com/lightwave/24hours_training.php Look for "Introduction to Serpent" or "Introduction to Lead the Follower Motion Modifier" under the Animation section. That should help. |
