Default Aircraft - F-16 Mlu and more

Hi all,

Here my new interest, I bought a plastic model kit of F-16 mlu so I would have the same in 3d model (new challenge ). I found lot of references on internet to begin my work.
I try to model this bird when i finish with it. I try to make the two seats version (F-16 sufa).

So, hope you like it and crits are welcome
Cheers

Hi all,

Thank BillS and tan.j for u comments.

@BillS : agree with u : it's one of most beautiful bird in the world - I also have a wip of m2000C and the Rafale but i post it after the end of this mission.
@tan.j : it's a big challenge because i only have the left view of the sufa version but enough pictures to realize the model.

Another challenge is to reproduce the scheme of the tigermeet 2009 :

I do agree with you, if a F-16 does not have a dorsal spine compartment that was supported from Block50/52+ on its back
I personally feel that compartment is somewhat ugly and harms beauty which F-16 Block1-Block50/52 have, but a F-16I Sufa (and F-16D Brakeet) has it. The conformal tanks can sometimes hide the dorsal spine compartment that I do not want to see.

When you build a variant that has the dorsal spine compartment, please challenge (and hide it by the tanks )

I know a pilot that flew the 15, 16 and 18. He said that they are all great planes. His least favourite was the 18. He loved the 15 ( his current ride ) but said that in a straight up close in dogfight, he'd walk by the 15 and climb in the 16 every time.

I was sooooooooooooo pissed when Canada bought the 18 over the 16. I was in air cadets and got into a HUGE argument with the (then) minister of defence. Bad enough that he walked out and wouldn't take anymore questions from us.

Man my C.O. was pissed at me..

First class modeling indeed, and yes I would have to agree, reproducing the colour scheme of the tigermeet 2009 will definitely be a challenge....

There is now way I could tell whether or not you missed a switch or two. The control panel looks great!

Lots of knob and switches. Setting the standard for the rest of the model there, excellent stuff.

Default little upd

Hi All,

Thank bmckain,BillS, 3D_CG and Starbase1 for compliment and king word.
After a long time, i come back with new update on the bird. I almost finish to model it and now i begin the very difficult work of texturing.

As you can see, there's only a diffuse map, no panel line but with a head of a tiger on a tail.
Lot of thing to do on it and I think i need lot of motivation on it

C&C are welcome.

She is fantastic looking. Well worth the wait to see it.

Now just ignore these chains on your ankle... Its a safety thing. We'll just snap the other end to your desk and, there... nice and safe now. So you just keep working on it.

Wanders out with the key.

That tiger image looks really good on the tail fin! You should try to keep that as part of the final texture.

Love the paint on this bird. The model looks very clean and crisp. Hard to crit, if there are areas of concern I think you would be hard pressed to find them.
