Just a little bump...

Anything new on this front from the heads of the project?

Do we have a firm ending date for submissions?

Hi Guys. We are hoping to get quite a few submissions so we can create more of an epic feel to the video. We have some excellent entries so far so things are looking great. As far as a deadline is concerned we dont want to put too much pressure on people as we know this is done in your spare time. The plan at the moment is to gather up what we have at the end of March. This should hopefully give you plenty of time to finish up what you are doing. If you need more time let us know.

I'm working on a rebuild of a shuttle I did a while back and texturing has never been my strong suit so right now it just has generic panels on it; once I am happy with the rebuild I'll upload it, feel free to re-texture it as you see fit for this one. I might have a capital ship done by the end of march too I hope.

I'm adding a bump too. Appears T&E are a bit busy. I've been keeping them updated on new submissions and I would say let's keep pumping out the models. The deadline really isn't until they have the free manpower to do the animation.

Submit them, the time frame was dependent on TE's production schedule so until they say they've started keep submitting those models.

Default Submit final entries

Hey All,

Just talked with Escelce and their team is ready to get started. So now is a good time to get your final submissions in. I don't have a drop dead date but I would say no later than Sunday midnight.

If you have made note of models that can be used in this thread, Lee80 and Treybor come to mind off the top of my head then please provide links to the models or send them to me to pass on to Escelce, the sooner the better. I am pretty much done with Lee80's battle ship. I know you had a fighter too, if you want me to convert it, get it to me as soon as you can and I'll get it done right away.

I have to say I am really excited to see this because I know it's going to be a lot of fun.

Bob

Finally made time today to dig through my archives and submit my earth based carrier. Still going through my stuff and hoping to get a current project completed in time to submit.

Hi everyone. Just a quick update on the EE project. We had some issues at TE with the rendering system which set us back on a few things. We are working them out now and this will be back on track and we hope you all like the video we have planned. We have pulled in one of our writers to do justice to the great models submitted. Thanks again and we'll keep you upto date.

Hi everyone. The guys have been working hard on this trying to make it as "epic" as possible. Lots of action and layers to each shot. Anyway they have said that a preview of the animation will be shown here very soon. I'll keep you updated.

Apologies to everyone waiting for the EE animated sequence. My team has been pulled in different ways on various things and will be returning shortly. Also TE may not be working together as a studio soon so we have been sorting a lot of things out here. For the better so its not as sad as it sounds:-) Ill keep you updated with the EE project.

Sorry, Thorsun-Esscelce is no more. They had hoped the guys would get this one last item out the door before closing shop but it didn't happen.

Pity because I had hoped for an obj or lwo version of the Epic Encounters Fighter in Resources since it's crashed my MAX 2010 when trying to load it.

Sigh

I have Max 2012. However, I know absolutely nothing about it. Fine, easy enough to load a model and should be easy enough to export.

The model seems to load okay, except that half of it is inside out. I try to export to .obj it stops and gives the error message "vertex coordinate too big". What? Tried to export to .3ds (which Lightwave is happy with) and .dxf. Both will load into Lightwave but half the model is missing.

So I'm unable to get anything useful out of Max.

Thnx for trying

This situation is why I posted a request some time ago that posted models include an .obj version.

Would posting an obj version of this mesh be a violation?

If not - could someone do it?

I've had no luck with Max 2010. The obj will not even load.
