I remember seeing a trailer for a CGI film last year that featured WW2 German flying saucers leaving Earth to travel to the moon and then it had a clip of a German soldier on motorcycle riding across the moon surface. Did I imagine this? Is it the result of way too many late nights or has somebody actually made this and more to the point, completed it?

I remember being one of the many who watched Star Wreck. It was a wonderful film so I would be quite willing to watch this one as well.

This movie looks amazing! I can't believe I've never seen this trailer before.

I love these crazy far fetched movie ideas that are actually original and graphically immersive.

I saw a link on io9 today about this. Has anyone else heard about it? I seem to recall hearing about this movie for several years now, and they still seem to be showing the same trailer. It looks cool as hell, but I'm surprised at how long it seems to be taking.

OK when I first saw this years back, I thought it was going to be a dark kind of thriller. Now...WTF?!
And then at 0:37...
Is that who I think it's supposed to be?! Crazy stuff

Lot's of impressive CG - anyone know anything else about this?

It premiered at the Berlin festival to..... mixed reviews

No real surprise there.

It has its UK cinema release in April and I for one plan to see it. Even if it isn't any good I like seeing independently spirited stuff like this in cinemas and want to support it.

I'm not a really big fan of campy sci-fi. And Sarah Palin jokes have kind of been done to death. I don't know, but it seemed a little too over the top

Then again, maybe they make it work

Just saw it today at the preview. Very impressive stuff. You wouldn't believe the budget was 7.5Meur for the entire movie. The software used for modeling was first and foremost Lightwave, I'm not sure which other packages were used.

Now, about the movie... The satire is extremely piercing and unapologetically politically incorrect when it needs to be, not overdoing it tho. The premise and humor are polarizing (the movie received properly mixed reviews), but if you are in for dark and satirical humor, I believe you will enjoy this movie a lot. Good knowledge of popular culture will help.

Despite the huge amount of rubbish and mythology and Nazi secret weapons, they did have designs for circular flying wings.

Why, from the Vril obviously! I don't remember "haunebu" was ever mentioned in the film, but it was during development! It's worth to google it
