There was a thread on the Bioware ME3 forums about what a light machinegun-esque weapon would look like in the MEverse.
After throwing a few ideas around I came up with this, more trying to stay true to the art-syle that seriously thinking about the mechanics of such a weapon. Took around 3.5 hours for modelling, maybe another hour for surfacing and 40 mins to think of a backstory. Edit, I took some feedback onboard about the scope being too far back to be comfortable, I quite like the rev 2. |

Works for me
![]() Design wise it strikes me as a mix of ME and Homeworld. It works though. |

Another image with really nice attention to detail, impressive.
The only bit that jars for me is that 90%+ looks really new and shiny, but there's the odd patch with strong wear... |

I like it.
I agree about the placement of the scope, having been a military weapons user at one point in my life. When using a rifle with a pistol grip, if you have it shouldered properly, that pistol grip ends up almost directly below your eye. So the version 2 scope is in a better place. |

Thanks for the comments guys
@Starbase, I took that on board, I'll be posting a short WIP with some proper texturing in a bit. |
