Nice job, you should do a render with it and the JJprise.

What's the texture on the front part of the ship? That's not just a regular procedural Crackle, is it? I have need of a similar finish on an upcoming model I want to build in the next month or so.

The wait was clearly worth it Alex. Love the image !. I would love to see her in all her glorious detail soon. Awesome work as usual man. Got me thinking, I wonder if JJ Abrams is going to change the Enterprise in the next film version ?

Thank you, buddy.
I'm sure they will change one or more interiors, I read that they will rebuild the engineering room because of the bad feedback (looks like a brewery). Concering the shape of the Enterprise I think they will only change it if there is a story behind. She wasn't severely damaged in the first movie, so I think there may be some smaller upgrades but no big changes. Recently I am remodeling the cockpit with interiors. During that I found that they obviously made a mistake in the movie. From outside views the cockpit has a single circular frame. But from the inside view it has a double frame. So I'm a bit confused what to do... ![]() |

It is.. hehe. That's one gripe I had about that part of the ship, was that it looked way too twentieth-century. I can hold with having a lot of catwalks and pipes and stuff, but it shouldn't look like anything that they just went on location and shot.

Yes they cheaped out on the Brewery set. Just far too recognizable as to what it was.
