Default Star Wars bike made real

At least, looks like it can be real: http://www.hover-bike.com/
I´m living in São Paulo, and it could be a good alternative, with the right rules, of course. Or... just a way to play like Skywalker.

This is amazing! If only it cost 1/10th of the price perhaps we'd all be driving one in the near future... Maybe someday...

I've seen this before. There is a full scale model with a peson riding it, but it's tethered and I don't think it has flight controls, so it's just 2 propellors. WIP.

When helicopters first came out they were touted as the car of tomorrow as well. It turned out they were bloody hard to fly, very noisy and expensive to buy and operate. If he ever gets a full scale version off the ground I'm pretty sure it will meet most of those criteria. As an added bonus count on it being regulated to death by over-zealous health & safety people.

It would be like a slow helicopter that cant carry loads or any passengers, is exposed to the elements and has no ability to auto-rotate if the engine cuts out. I applaud the ingenuity and enterprise, but until someone comes up with some form of anti-gravity lift device the personal flying transport isn't going anywhere.
