I think #1 works best for me.

I like the camera angle of 1 but I like the lighting in #2 better.

I think the lighting could be more interesting, and the engines still don't convey energy and power. There seems to be a seam showing on the moon in image 1 as well.
I'd keep tweaking and experimenting ![]() Cheers! |

Don't know what happened with the moon. As to the engines, I like them the way they are.

Hmmm I'll avoid posting anything other than great work then.
Great work, the engines are perfect. Cheers! |

And proper critique in mind, the moon map has already been mentioned, along with the odd looking engine effects IMO, the compositions could benefit from some shifting, as having your subject dead centre is usually best avoided. It's more interesting and more pleasing to follow the rule of thirds and compose accordingly.
The lighting as I think I said already is very bright and bland, and could be made much more interesting if toned down a little and boosted in picking up specularity on the ship just as an example. Cheers! |

Gentlemen, back on topic please. Anything else, take it to private messages. Foundation 3D is not the place to air personal differences.

Thanks, I do not mind critique, on the contrary, I wouldn't learn anything if people did not say anything but when it comes to my engines I liked what I did, The lighting does need work and I have no idea what happened with the moon, I got that from the recourse section here. I probably won't redo this render because I have the updated version of the Castor that needs new engines and I have a new scene I want to do. I will be trying something new soon but I am still satisfied with what I did. I don't like fighting here, that is why I rarely post at another 3d forum because that's all some people do over there. It's rude and uncalled for. You can critique without sounding like a mean spirited person. I'm not saying that Clark was being rude

There is a seam on the Io map (and Mars 12K maps) you just have to make sure it's hidden
Nice work on the scene, I agree that the lighting needs a little tweak. I have a very similar one in the works, but I'll shift it from Jupiter to Mars ![]() |

If I use Io again, I'll remember that, thanks.

If it's as simple as the map having a seam, then all you need to do is rotate the planet.
