Default SciFi - Mark IX Hawk - WIP

Taking a break from the BIG ship to do a smaller one!
Coloring what I've completed so far before I continue detailing her.

Yeah, she's one of my favourite ships as well. Looks kick-ass, and looks like
she could exist today. Kinda like the Eagle. Almost done but for UVmapping.
I added a screen cap of my workspace in Modo 5.

Thanks all!
Dark Lane, the Big Ship is a modified Mercury class batttlestar for my Imperium
Fleet, my Aurora 4x Empire. Heh. I can build one now, as I finally have a shipyard
large enough. The mods are because The Imperium is more advanced than the
Colonies. This battlestar will have 5th generation Far Gamma Ray laser turrets
with a pair of 120 cm laser cannons under her nose. It's fun, but, BIG, and
time consuming, so I like to take a break no and then. ^_-

Almost finished. Just a pair of nurnies on each side, between the boosters and main
fuselage. Due to their positions, all my reference photos show them in shadow. I may
need to improvise on these two.

The first pic is in Poser 7, which is a good program for finding mesh problems I miss in
Modo. In this case, a pair of N-gons on the windows I forgot to split into quads, a lonely
missile I forgot to assign materials to, and a smoothing problem with the ridges just behind
the central section. Sharp edges need to be beveled, or some programs will attempt to
smooth them. Otherwise, it imported perfectly.

Then, it's on to UVmapping.
