Default Update: It Is Done!

Wow! I am really excited to tell you all that I have completed My Ultimate Enterprise this evening!

To think I started this thing in August of 2016. That's three years! But anyway, I have just completed the final steps for packing this thing up for Turbosquid. I've gone back and forth over where to release this thing - and I'm sure you guys wouldn't begrudge me a little spending money, would you? No? Cool. Thanks.

I plan to release it in the next few days and I'll try to post a bunch of new renders probably tomorrow... the uploader isn't working for me tonight.

Neil

Default Final Renders - Part 1

Here are a few renders of the exterior... still making renders of everything else but will post them once I'm done.

Nice render, yes lots of closeups please after all thats where the real detail is. Let us know when she is up and available to get hold of. On the picture of the neck close up, is that a floating decal at the bottom left or just the render angle.

Ha! I missed one! Well, probably not the only one. There are over 5000 objects to keep track of in this. Thanks for the catch!

I am running out of adjectives. This is, simply put, stupendous. Not only is this your ultimate Enterprise, this may be THE ultimate Enterprise.

I look forward to peeking under the covers at your materials. I'm still learning OctaneRender and your execution of the refit's iconic pearlescent hull paneling effect is just damn lovely.

I do hope that this is not going to cause you too much delay, sorry about that. Maybe some hi res ortho renders so if we see any more gotcha's we can place them correctly ourselves.

If you putting this up on TS a link would be handy.

Not at all. That little cleanup only took a few seconds. I plan to have both versions (one with 2D interiors and one with 3D interiors) up on Turbosquid by tomorrow at the latest. I will of course post here when it is ready.

In the meantime, here is another render... and it's a biggie at 8640x4860. I'd like to attempt to do a cutaway of sorts in the next day or so... but first things first... I need to finish getting everything put up on Turbosquid.

More later,
Neil

Oh my, that giganto render was worth the wait to download. Amazing.

And you actually modeled the registry lettering on the port side of the saucer raised? You're mad. Certifiable!

Default Update

Well, I'm still having trouble with the file uploader... so no new renders to show just yet. I'll keep trying. I'm also having issues with Turbosquid - which are being resolved I hope. So as soon as I get this thing posted, I will do an update here and put up a link.

More later,
Neil

Default Final Renders - Part 2

Okay - so everything seems to be up and running on Turbosquid

Also, this will be the last render on this particular thread. Any renders from here on will go on the Creative Works Showcase thread. Srsly, I can't believe I'm actually done with this thing! At times, I thought I would never ever finish it... but here we are! Thanks all for your comments, critiques, and suggestions. Never would have finished it without your help!!

Enterprise Refit model with full 3D interiors:
https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models...-model-1469154

Enterprise Refit model with flat, 2D interiors:
https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models...-model-1468832

Lastly - if any of you DO end up purchasing the model... PLEASE know that, while I have done my best to make it a clean, organized and error proof model, I am pretty darn sure that I have screwed up SOMETHING in it. So, if I have, please forgive me and just let me know and I'll try to make it right.

Thank you all,
Neil

PS - I have no idea how long the time between publishing a product and it being actually available to purchase is... so you might not be able to get it RIGHT now. But it shouldn't be too long I would figure.

I have to admit it's been a really long time since I've been around. But that's really sweet!

It's going to be a minute before I can play with this, but I think it'll be fun to do a proper model conversion for the first time in a long time (and to lose that excuse I've had for not working on my TMP fan-edit).

I've gotta say, though, going through the preview renders and seeing rooms that weren't posted here, it was really surreal looking at the spots that echoed the interiors I did for the first time. It's like the opposite of watching something you liked as a kid and seeing it wasn't all that great. "I remember making those racks of photon torpedos, but I don't remember them looking that good."

Totally agree David nd at 7 million polys or so that's going to need some wrangling.

Stands and applauds. You should feel very proud. I have nothing more to say, as my lower jaw is no longer attached to my face.
