I set a challenge for myself as there isn't any texturing done on Gerard Dolan's model of DS9. However, i have no idea where to go from here. I want to make it look similer to the original model in the series. I was thinking of using similer methods in B5, however i have no idea how to create the generic textures.

Try ex astris scientia for images of ds9. Their comic style images are quite good in showing lots of details.

be careful of taking on too ambitious of a project. those tend to be the ones you abandon. Start with something more simple and work your way back up from there until you feel you have a handle on the methods/techniques you'll need

I unconcesly decided to tke your advice and re-model Myst island before I attempt to texture DS9. I seem toi have a knack for modeling. I break things down to simple portions. Also because that Myst has simpler texturing.
