Default Aircraft - Australian International Airshow 2013

Hey Guys

Been over in the land down under working and taking some photos at Avalon

Since the multi-pic upload never works and im not going to single upload 105 pics you'll have to go see them on Flickr

http://www.flickr.com/photos/andy3e/...7632963072290/

Enjoy

Your ability to photograph aircraft, especially ones that are in motion, never ceases to impress me.

I would have loved to see that Connie in flight! That would have been awesome.

That twin engine with the bare metal finish (shiny!) looks like the same plane Amelia Earheart had; is it?

thanks dude, yeht eh connie was spectacular, it took off just before sunset then performed during dusk, the engines where each kicking tony flames from the exhausts, was quite a sight

Yeh that was a Lockheed model 214,basicly the same aircraft Miss Earhart went missing in (not this one tho, i checked, she wasn't inside)

thanks dude, much appreciated, though most of the time the trick is deciding which pics not to show

Ah yes, I love the smell of napalm in the morning, smells like...victory
At Avalon the show goes on into night on the first public day with a huge firework and pyrotechnic display, in years gone by they would finish with a F-111 doing a dump and burn, now they just have a C-130 do a flare drop, its cool, but not AS cool heh

Geez I certainly hope not! It looks like it was a good airplane. I enjoyed watching it in the movie about Amelia.
