Default Misc - Finished Class Work ***NUDITY***

Finished works from my Analysis of Form class last Spring at Academy of Art University. This stuff is just sitting around on my hard drive, so thought I would share. Apologies are due, I'm sure that I've posted some of these here before, but never as a set.

Wow, thanks everyone for the overwhelming support. You are all far too generous!
I'm taking Figure Modeling (sculpture) and Intro to Anatomy (drawing) in the spring, so will have a whole crop of new works by summer.

I remember some of the projects here when I was attending AAU in SF, but I must confess I’m no where near your skill and talent Charles.

Very amazing stuff!!
May I ask, are you also into oil painting? I am a collector and I’d really like to see your work.

Thanks again for stopping by and commenting guys, it really means a lot to me!

@ Nail - That's cool you're an Alum! No, I have no experience
at all with oil painting except for a few in high school. I remember
being frustrated by the medium eternally mixing on the canvas.

Here's the first round of works from my Intro to Anatomy class.
I'm really enjoying the class so far. This module is focusing on
understanding the structure of the ribcage, clavicle, pelvis and scapula.
The first three are sketch exercises to help understand how these
structures affect form in the live model, while the last two are a straight
ahead study of the bone structure. Thanks again for stopping by!

EDIT: These are all General's charcoal pencils on newsprint paper.

Looks great. I am always in awe of your drawing ability.

Have you seen Scott Spencer's new ZB book? Your knowledge of anatomy may be beyond it, but it looks like a great resource for learning anatomy from the 'what you can see on the surface' point of view.

We have a sniper on standby.

But rumours have it he's an ex-Marine. Might be a tad difficult to take down.

I am just not qualified to even offer C&C anymore. It all looks really good to me Charles. I don't see any problems with scale or perspective and that's about all I could comment on.

Thanks you guys. Here's this week's work.
Focus on understanding the anatomy of the pelvis, upper/lower leg and feet.

Compressed charcoal on newsprint. Time on the standing figure was 8-10 hours,
for the leg/foot study, I invested about 5 hours. (Somebody asked how long
I spend on drawings, It varies. A lot. )
