Default Nature - Earth Mk XIV

Installment number 2 of my ongoing Earth project. This is the one that will be available to buy here on Foundation when I've completed it's tweaks. The maps are unique, you wont find them anywhere else. The earth map was painted by myself and has some vast differences you any other you can find online including proper ocean color variations and the land colors are spot on to nasa data.

ENJOY!

That's really rather nice. I'm very glad to hear you intend to release it publicly.

Coolness.

Why is the spec traveling onto land though, or is that just spec overflow/bloom from the waters-edge going inland?

The spec isnt touching the land aside of rivers. What you see happening there is a real thing that happens in life. Atmospheric reflection of sunlight along with cloud reflection and bleeding of reflection light (overspill)

Ooh, now that's very nice indeed!

Any chance of a closeup to show the level of detail? I've always wanted something that could cope with a low earth prbit view, say 200 miles up...

for straight down shots close the surface you'd need 32k maps. I have not bothered with those. I'd imagine you can fake it pretty easily though, HOWEVER unless you're rendering in full HD you won't really notice much quality loss with these maps.

As for when it's available for purchase: I'd be more than happy to sell it directly - otherwise I need to finish some tweaking and get with the Foundation3d mod/admin crew to sort out the details.

Well, my credit card is headed towards spontaneous combustion, and I am twitching to buy!

As for price... In general I tend to think that the poser / daz3d type prices are very low, too low, but turbo squid etc are generally significantly too high... Difficult to say without knowing if it comes with anything clever to help use and set up etc...

Flu sucks ass.

anyway, cool, Thanks starbase . I'll probably end up selling it for around 75 USD when completed, or 40 for it is now (and you'd get updates on maps/shaders when polished)
