Default LightWave - Can I add extra points to an open curve?

At the ends?
At the middle?

I know I can just keep the points and then rebuild it, but it's a serious [pain in this case to select the points in the right order.

I've tried selecting it as a polygon, and using knife, but nothing phappens
Subdivide smooth (a long shot I know) also does nothing at all...

Multiply/Subdivide/Add Points might be just what you're looking for. I don't normally use it, but it's there for those that do.
