Based on the size of your nozzles and the angle they point outward (not to mention that thrusters use compressed gas, not combustion) I highly doubt they could scorch those plates; it would have to be a really wide cone of exhaust and that probably wouldn't give a lot of push.

Other than that, what the others said.

Well there are some marks in the film (though I don't think they look 100% right), and in a vacuum, the exhaust will flare out strongly - even if most of it is in the core).

I'm leaning towards making a clean version and releasing that while I think about possible dirt.

I've just uploaded a 'clean' version to the resources, complete with three sample scenes, including an animated flyby with the legs deploying.

I baked the IFW2 shaders, so you don't need them.

I'll think more about a good way to add effective dirt, but in the mean time if anyone wants to take it on, feel free!

6 renders from the sample scenes are attached.
Thanks to Sean for letting me swipoe his airlock door!

Nick

Cheers chaps! (And any chapesses).

I just realised I need to get some final renders out as finished images, before someone else does!

If people want to thank me, the best way is to use the model and show the results!
