Default SciFi - Personal hovercraft racer

Okay, an update from me. The following is a personal hovercraft type speeder thingy that I'm going to be using for my comic/animations. Meet the Dragonfly, so named for its manuverability as well as capabilities in flight. With its particular engine structure, it can hover in place at 1000 feet with wings collapsed, (Not yet built), or it can soar at 20k with wings deployed.

The wings themselves are still in development, but they are supposed to be four to a dragonfly, and collapsible. There will be two light wings up front, mounted directly on a pintle mount. A shoulder joint and a boom arm will be attached to the wing itself, and the forward wings will be collapsed to fold more or less against the underside of the hull.

The aft wings will be mounted just in front of the side mirrors on the side hull, and will overlap the lower wings when folded. The aft wings will be slightly thicker in all dimensions, and will have a set of engines mounted on the trailing edge. For folded movement, the trailing edge will be facing down, to help provide lift, and there will be an air intake at the edge of the wing. (Since the edge of the wing is facing forwards, it simply makes sense to put it there.) These wings will deploy in a similar manner to those of the Storm Hawk bikes.

The basic concept for these wings is the flyer personal flight craft from John Carter of Mars. Essentially balance weights, movement indicators for still shots, and as my father put it, "Tennessee Go-fasters." Essentially, things that look good, but don't do anything for performance. Like neon lights on a car, or spinners on the rims.

There are three forward thrust engines on the back of this hovercraft, as well as three downward facing engines for lift and manuverability. This does not include the ones on the wings.

Now, the primary design of this thing is more or less the following. I wanted to create a one of those classic styled hot rods in a science fiction hover bike configuration. The vehicle itself is a one man, little larger than a snowmobile. Its supposed to be ridden in a very similar way to the bat-pod bike. Around the lower frame of the vehicle are six cargo tie anchors, which will be used for light packages/rescue harness anchors.

As a personal request, I would indeed like some ideas on how to make this particular beasty of mine better.

I like the design and the idea. This is looking pretty sharp!

Well, I really like it. The only thing that bugs me are the headlights. I almost think I would try to wrap them into the housing a bit.

BMCkain, I agree on the headlights, and I would if I had a good enough design to do that with. It'd help cut down on alot of the polygons as well I think.
