UPDATE...
I think I've finished the spikes at the back of the ship.
I also added two aft torpedoe launchers to the lower spikes.

UPDATE...
Added panel lines to the, wings I guess I would call them.
I also added the impulse engines.
I have also added an airlock. It's loosely based on the ones used on DS9. I plan on placing another one up front some where.

UPDATE....
The build of the Impulse engine is done.
I've started to play with an idea of doing a Keldon type varient of the ship.

Here is a look at another new ship that I've blocked in. I wanted to do something with a ball instead of a saucer. It's slightly influenced by Crushers ship from All Good Things but it is not a medical/science ship.

UPDATE...
I thought I'd go back to the U.S.S. Soval real fast and do a table for the conference room/ready room. That black circular thing is a holoprojector.
The first pic shows the table with the chairs pushed in.
The second pic shows the chairs pulled out.
The last pic shows what it looks like from the outside.

I'm gonna try to get back to work on these ships. I'm gonna start out by fleshing the Claymore out a little bit more. I'm probably going to change the name. I'll also make a few design changes because FASA's design is a little too TOS like.

UPDATE...
I've added two pics that I'm basing things off of. Sorry for the crappy pics but it's the best I could do.
I decided to start with the back of the warp engine. I'm still not sure what role this will play. I don't know if this will be an explorer or some kind of mobile duckblind. At first I thought that big thing hanging off the bottom of the ship would be a solar sail but it could also be a type of super sensor.

UPDATE...
I've gotten a good amount of work done. A few bits and pieces including warp grills and the ever dependable scale guy. I'm still not sure about the size of the ship but right know it's about the size of an Oberth class ship.

UPDATE...
More work done on the warp engine. And a little bit done on what will become the Nav deflector.

I didn't know what I was going to do about Bussard collectors but I think I figured it out. I like it so i'm gonna keep it.

UPDATE...
I've got some work on the, I don't know what to call it really because it's too small to be called a secondary hull. I imagine there's not a lot of room for people. I'm happy with it so far.

That's some nice work. I've been so busy with work, that 3D modeling (my hobby) has taken a back seat. This is actually inspired me to get back into what I enjoy.

Thank you.

Thank you. This is just a hobby for for me to, but I make sure to never let anything get it's way. It's the only reason I get up in the morning.

I did a romulan ship about a year and a half ago but lost it in a hard drive crash.

UPDATE...
I've done most of the work on the lower sensor platform. I might do some more just to add a little more detail. I also blocked in the neck.

UPDATE...
I worked on the neck and have started to shape the saucer. It's got a lot of work to do because it is an odd shape and the two pictures I have to work from don't exactly match. And I also have to make it fit to scale.
It's driving me nuts.
I borrowed the bridge from my Soval class to see how it might look.

This ship was originally designed as a stealth Spy Ship for Star Fleet Intelligence. The big fin is an advanced radiator, which kept the infra-red signature of the ship down. It was designed by Dave Deitrick for FASA near the end of their run, but it was a pet project of his-a real labor of love. I realize that you're only roughly basing your design on Dave's original, but if you'd like some more reference for it, I can probably dig some up for you.

Thanks for the info on this ship. I could never find any.
Even though most of the ship is done I could still use some references for the ship. That would be helpful.
Thank you.

Default USS Claymore reference

Here are the 2 images you already have, but at higher res. I'm still looking for the other drawings I have. Hopefully, these will be of some help. Great work so far! Can't wait to see the final product.

That's an interesting variation in styles; love your take on the warp engine and the shovel-shaped primary hull.

Thanks you. I've got the two books those pics belong to, but still every litle bit helps.

UPDATE...
Decided to take a look at another of my ships to see what needed to be worked on. I think I'll name this ship after mountains.
I started to detail the uber-pulse phasers and refine the shape of the pylon connecting them to the hull and torpedo launcher.

UPDATE...
Well I've done all I'm gonna do to the roll bar.
I've refined the shapes of the main body of the ship so they aren't just streight up and down any more. I think it looks much better now.
I've also started to work on the Nav Deflector. I usually just do round ones so I thought I'd try something else.
I still have no idea what I'm gonna do about the warp engines.
