Default 2016 June Photo Challenge

June 2016 Photo Challenge

Topic For June

"Light"

Rules as they exist thus far:

  1. Submissions are open for the month of June and are limited to 2 per person. (To clarify: you can submit until the voting booth is posted, which usually occurs on the first day of the month.)
  2. The sky's the limit for resolution (though it's understandable if people don't want to share highest res originals if they don't want to)
  3. Please upload your images using the "Single file upload Utility" then copy and paste the link into your post. That way, I can just copy and paste the link to add your entry to the monthly list (which saves me from saving the image and uploading it).
  4. Photo-manipulation is okay (retouching, red eye, colour balance tweaks etc; in this case a before and after would be required).
  5. Obvious photo-shopping is discouraged (no adding stuff that isn't there at all, or using canned 'make pretty picture' presets)
  6. Submitting photos which were submitted in previous challenges is discouraged. Use a new one!

The link looks like
Code:
http://www.foundation3d.com/uploads/general/2016/05/86-23-50417.peg
...

That extension won't work, but even the server can't seem to find it. I tried altering it with .jpeg and .jpg and still no luck.

What upload did you try using for that? Single or Manage Attachments?

Didn't work... I'm curious if we have a problem?

I just tried using the Single with one of the F3D banners...

And also through Manage Attachments...

I right-clicked the link and saved it to my desktop. Once it downloaded, I changed the extension to .jpg and was able to view the image.

I found out that iPad saves my pics to this weird format and have no clue how to change it.

Think we may have to rethink how to do these. The server is running too slow to upload images, especially if they are not limited in size. I have linked this one to my own site. I hope that's ok.

We'll have to go with linking to external sites for the time being. Not sure how I'm going handle putting the poll together.

I guess I'll do what I always do. . .

Worry about it when I get there!!!
