Amras, those models are totally awesome. I'd kill to get my hands on those to squeeze into my animation project... (see anims WIP forum)..

Thumbs up

Love your work, you think like a Minbari. The textures on the transport seem a bit pixilated (IMHO) which I understand if that is the model for ingame... I love the lines, and it fits in very nicely with the world of B5 ... I can't wait to try this game out sometime!

Would love to see the transport rendered inplace of the other ship under the water...

I just bought and downloaded X3 Reunion from Game Stop just for when the mod comes out... If you need beta testers give me a yell...

Playing the game for a little bit, I can see why the X3 engine was chosen for your B5 mod...

This was easy to make. Just two objects.^^
You can scale and place them where you want, that's why i wrote that it is a kit.^^

I really, really like how the Minbari freighter turned out. Very cool.

And the Vorlon outpost, heh! I've only seen one other person make that before now and that was Nadab years ago, and I don't think he ever released it. Nice going.

If I had the time I'd love to do some animations with these.

Do not forget all those other races you will do - like the Yolu, Cascor, Hurr, Pak'ma'ra, Abbai, Gaim, Hyach, Llort, Grome, Kor-Lyan, Balosian, Deneth, Streib... perhaps the Dilgar, Oreini and Alacan and Markab and Woon too.

No so fast, Mr Amrasman! There be more; Wen'dan, Rogolon, Torata, Tal-Kona'sha, Nashani, Kilkameshi and Usuuth. And Medushaan.

And how about the Drakh, Lumati, or Firstones?

Oh, they will come.
Well, never heard about some of them and i think most of them will use brakiri ships or something like that. But we will make some of the Mongooseships.

I have a WIP Gaim ship fro example or an Abai ship. But i'm not happy with them at the moment.

Here is a WIP of the ISA Shipyard for our mod.
The original design is from Nadab Göksu:

This is beautiful stuff Amras I particularly like your Valen class cruiser from “The Lost Tales”; I think I'll definitely have to be attempting one of those soon!

Where on Earth are you getting your references from?
I've been using screen stills straight off the DVD's for the stuff I've been doing, which is barely adequate as they often lack the clarity I need for all the details! Your Centauri attack fighter for example (you call it the Vorchan!) seems to have twice the amount of detail as the one I attempted last year!
And your Centauri station presented in Post #1: Is that the one from the first episode of B5 (after the pilot)? As I recall it was in less than 5 seconds of CG-footage before it got waxed by a Narn fleet; where did you score the references for all that detail? Is it canon??

Hi D-Jota.
Nice to see you in this thread!

Well, i make the screens from the DVDs too. Most of them i have overworked to get a better contrast or brightness.
Only for the Valen i found some better refs:
http://www.alecm.com/gallery.htm

The Centauri Vorchan is absolute canon. We (Hunter and i) made thousands^^ of screens to see all his details and to make them correct. (but i'm still not happy with the "nose" and the vertical wing)

The station isn't canon. I just used the design of the station from the first episode and the one we can see, when lenir is docked at the bottom of a vorchan.

Pretty neat modeling and texturing you've done there. I can't say I personally like the gameplay of X3 but at least it gives you a chance to do some very pretty stuff.

Out of interestet, does I_E_Maverick still do stuff for you guys? Used to work with him on the B5 mod for Freespace 2 years ago.

Great Shadow Vessel! - What approach did you use for creating the surface on that? I'm sure that this modelling exercise will be facing me sooner or later...

The surface is just a mix of "noise" shaders.

Mmm I don't know. I see it as a 2D sketch on Wolf's shipyard http://www.wolfsshipyard.mystarship.com/ . But it's possible
