Thanks guys.

This is just purely for fun because I couldn't get into working on the ship today...

Basically I was looking at the BSG ship's crest and thought it'd be fun to do one for an OCD. I picked Pegasus because it's the only one I could think of a logo for (based on the logo on the Pegasus spacecraft on Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets).

I wanted it to incorporate the greek letter omega, a logo and the ship name and to look a bit like the BSG one. I'm quite happy how it came out.

I'm not sure if I'll do any more though.

Wow! Looking awesome as hell!

Question for ya: what's with the purple/yellow logo area? Is that a stand in for something else? Because it kind of looks a little strange (sorry if you've already explained this earlier in the thread).

Thanks Jim, yeah the surfaces are still a work in progress. The EA logo is probably a bit to bright but I'll sort it out eventually.

It's funny, I actually had to look up your original, because with the changes you made, (especially getting rid of the stars and reversing the direction), it actually ended up being really similar to the seal of my alma mater.

I don't think it's too pipy - maybe just a loittle bit too regular though?

I don't think it would take much to fix that though, maybe thicken up every 4th cross plate thingy.

I like the pipes. I don't like all the supports though. It would look much nicer with 2, at most 3, supports per pipe.

How about increasing the spacing, but pairing the supports for variety?

Pipes are pretty rigid and self-supporting, so one near each end and one in the middle I figure. They're also supported where they enter the hull.

Thanks everyone.

@Rigel, speaking as a plumber you'd be surprised how much support pipes usually need in real life, that said these ones have a diameter of 2 meters and supports spaced 10 meters apart... a bit out of my usual professional experience

I expect what I will do is remove some of the pipes and add in some different nurnies instead.

OK what's the parts and labour charge to fix this?
And more importantly, the call out charge?

I hear there are only two things you need to know as a plumber. Friday is payday was the one, I forget the other one.

I'm sure whatever you come up with will look great.

Yeah, there's something just not working for me with this area, I'll sleep on it and take another shot at it tomorrow.

Always a good idea. Sometimes you just need to do something else for a bit then suddenly your brain spits out a new idea while you're not looking.

Happened to me so often and at some of the most inopportune moments. It's been a while since I've seen the progress on this one but it looks like it's moving along great. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planned for the rotating section.
