UPDATE...
Ok. I added more detail to the wing tips and the disruptor. Just need to chamfer a few edges and that should be just about it. I think this might be the best weapon Iíve made so far.

I also added a few more bits to the head. Not much though.

Looks like the weapons can rotate for fire. I'm right?
Looks very good indeed, but also makes me remember of Transformers.

UPDATE...

Yep the weapons can rotate. I hope.

This part has been bugging me for awhile.

So I closed it up and it now looks like this.

I think it just needs a few adjustments.

Ooo I like the double barrel mentality, something they should have probably done with the original being the Klingons and all.

That reminds me of the old rifles that had the over/under barrels. Nice bit of modelling in there.

UPDATE...
I decided to try to get a little end of month work done.
So I fixed the segmenting at the nose of the ship and rebuilt the nav deflector.

I also added a small amount of detail above the shuttle bay.

I also added some phasers and torpedo tubes to the U.S.S. Sagan.

UPDATE...
Got kind of tired of working on my house project so I though Iíd do a little work on this ship that I started awhile ago.
Iíve been wanting to this kind of warp engine for awhile and I thought this would be a good ship to do it with.

I got all the edges chamfered and added a few small details. I added a nav light to the top and started to work on the warp pylon.

On the back I added some kind of venty thing.

UPDATE...
Trying to fill up the back with more detail.

Added a little more detail to the warp pylons and decided to join them together and added a bump thing Iím not totally sure about yet.

Another look at the detail on the pylons.

I added more detail to the back and started on the RCS system.

Got a little bit started on the bridge.

This is what Iím thinking for the impulse engines.

Overall I like this design. It has some nice lines to it and should have some good camera angles when it's done.

Here is an attack shuttle based on a design by John Eaves. I blocked in the shapes a couple of months ago but didnít post them then. Ignore the goofy stuff going on in the front.

Got more detail on the warp engine.

The RCS system is in and ready to go. Iím also thinking that box on the bottom will be the shuttle bay.

I really like what you're doing with the rear-end of the nacelles mate.

I chamfered a few edges I needed to get to and started to do more work for the bridge. I also moved over to mental ray for the render.

Looks like you've got some segmentation on lowest base for the bridge (just above the sphere); I'm not sure if the edge is just a little too sharp for it to be noticeable.

That's ok it's just the roughed in shape. I haven't done anything with it. When I do there will not be any segmenting.

That's an interesting approach on the deflector dish. It's certainly easier than trying to cut a recess into a sphere! Also, if it was set back into the sphere, that would restrict the width of the deflector field; it gives better coverage if it's set forward like you have it, I would think.

I just wanted it to look cool.

UPDATE...
I havenít been able to get much work done. The week was just crap. Blew a tire on my car. Might have to put my little doggie down and my toilet decided it didnít want to take my crap anymore.
I added a little bit of something in front of the shuttle bay.

Iíve also got some airlocks and sensor pallets started.

Thatís about it for August.

One thing I always like about your work is how smooth everything looks. Those little circular indents and the phaser strip on top are good examples.
