Dunno, they are more vegetarian from what I seen of nature documentaries but those are always in passing and not the direct subject. They do vary in looks some look like heads on a balloon. Guess those are the urban tanuki.

As for the update, meh. might just shelf this one for now a bit sick of these dark scenes etc.

Damned, the eyes are gorgeous. Nice work anyway but the eyes really stand out.

Another go at this crap, basically I gave up on the other one. Really hating the look my faces have had lately so hopefully I can correct this.

I think everything is ok, might have some small adjustments and probably a redraw of the jug, looks a bit awkward. Left leg might be turned a bit too much too, hard to tell in line. Oddly before clothing it looked ok. >_<

Ok, I see what you are saying. It does look a bit twisted at the knee. Almost like the thigh is turned on direction and the shin another.

Well she is suppose to be at an angle so that you see more of the legs backside. but because of the clothing the hints at this are now missing. So because of this Im going to have to change my mind about the leg as it sits, which sucks cause the foot and shoe look ok. oh well.

Thinking of moving the right arm onto her knee too, vs dangling between her legs. ffff

some small changes, likely leave the linework/painting w/e for tomorrow.

Ok waiting for some large transfers, organizing hdds etc so I threw some cheap painting on it.

IMO, that looks better. And like the coloration. You're incredibly quick.

Ok finally got around to inking this in. Distractions and finding a 3tb hdd failing have left me scrambling to save what I can.

I have decided too that I might go a different direction with the paint scheme on this project. Really wish I had spent some time thinking up something more creative with the clothes than just drawing the basic outfit she wears. mm looking at it resized I need to address some things like her pipe and a few areas where I got sloppy with the lines.

If anyone else wants to color it go ahead. not shure how long itll take me to get to it. lol

With all the horse crap I have had to deal with and spending what little fun cash I have on more failed HDW UGh getting anything done on this is slow as hell.

Read laptop with failed os partition so full of bad sectors it is unrecoverable. Reason I loath partitions all the wear sits in one place vs roaming. My secondary partition reads fine. Sadly it is a pata laptop and well pata hdds are all ransom exploit prices. 80usd for 80gigs where sata is 80usd for 800gigs. So working brick! Sigh. Everything works against having cash for anything fun.

Talking

For something different. Decided to take another break from the 3d stuff. Started fooling about with something new and seeing Picard in the one doodle I sorta went to trek stuff again.
It is something new to me and all ref free atm but I think I should go find something akin to this to use as refs since my color sense sucks badly. I recently seen a few trek comics where they were not the typical xerox type American art drawings. They looked more like game concept work. It sorta inspired me to do this not to mention looking at a more free style where men's caricature faces are a bit more fun to do. I had a hoot with the romulan laughing most of the time. Anyone familiar with 4chan will probably see it. It was unintentional but it sort of "leaked" in I guess. Idea was "smarmy politician" or what a used romulan shuttle salesman would look like.

As for the work itself I am attempting this with just the paint brush and forcing myself to not use detail sizes so 24~60point leaning to the latter. I guess it is just repetition to get better at this. I probably should look for some faces to reference too and distort the features. I spent about 5~10 for the fiorst 2 and a bit more on the romulan.

A not so creative Andorian. Got a bit to plain with this. Wanted to add a bit of that egghead shape from TMP, oh well. Might have another go at them later on.

mm who next? or should I get away from the trek?

a Spoon. Attempting to eliminate any human face with bits on by altering things and hinting at recognizable features. Dunno.

Still think the romulan was the best so far.

Small update. About to move on for a while that dress of her's is driving me nuts. I suppose part of it is the original she is sort of just a tube and the debate how to show her torso in my work. Oh well.

Completely forgot why I did not post where I left this one. I do plan to do more to it like a possible fisheye backdrop of sorts which will involve widening it to more of a 2:1 aspec. But for now it can be polished up and dumped as is.

Good stuff Koi. Hard to keep up with you sometimes. I had to cut down the number of personal projects cause I just couldn't keep track of them anymore. Trying to pick up where I left of started taking more time than my concentration.

I love these painted works. Nicely done. Do you do it all with tablet? Or do you sketch on paper and scan in to start?
