I agree. I also think the nav deflectors turned out well, especially the way you applied the grid pattern to them.

Thanks.

UPDATE...
I got a bit more detail added. I tried doing a little more of the ship with no luck, it looked really bad. It has some odd shapes to it and all I have is top view image of the ship. Itís kind of making loose interest in this ship for now.

UPDATE...
Not much going on here. Iím playing with a few ideas for the bridge but Iím not convinced I like what Iíve come up with so far. I might do something closer to the one the Defiant had. I also added a few more minor details. Donít know how much work Iíll be getting done. Between GTA5 and a new music program I just got opening Max isnít that interesting to me right now.

Your solution is elegant and fits the style of the ship nicely!

UPDATE...
Ok. Iíve re-built the saucer section including the bottom. I alsod decided Iím far enough along to move into Mental Ray. Thereís a few things that need to be fixed but they are minor. Only thing I need to do is come up with a secondary hull. Not sure what Iím gonna do about that.

UPDATE...
I started to work on a temp secondary hull but I think it blows. I will probably go with something that reflecs the warp engines a little more.
Iíve added the impulse engines and some detail to the saucer that will obviously need some fixín.

It's kind of an Enterprise-E style on the textures.

UPDATE...
A few more details added to the saucer.

Some minor work done on the sensor thing, or whatever itís gonna turn out to be.
Not sure If Iíll keep the long bit of armor on the saucer. I did it quick to see how it looks so it doesnít match very well.

Iíve also added an airlock.

UPDATE...
Just trying to get a little work done on some of the ships I havenít worked on in awhile. I add a bits to the head of my Klingon Bird Of Honor.

I also decided to block in the shape of the baffles

Some minor work on the Pug Class. Beveled a few edges and added indents to the side of the hull.

I also added rear photon torpedo launchers.

With each step, the ship becomes better defined and better looking.

The modelling looks really neat and tidy too.

Got a little bit more done on the KBH. Minor stuff. Started to put an idea together for the disruptors. I do think the wings might be a little too long.

I don't think so mate, if anything I think the intercoolers are too small - perhaps a little more elongated than cylindrical and extend them further down the wings. With the cannons on there, and considering the head/bridge, I think the wings are right.
