Default Lightwave 2019 Release Announced

Lightwave 2019 is available from Newtek. $995 (USD) or $295/$395 depending on how often you've been upgrading.

OpenVDB is very nice, UI now does 4K, and a host of other stuff, it's a solid release but only you can judge if it is worth your money, for me it is.

I'm a little surprised by how comfortable the HiDPI interface is. The actual GL views supported high resolution displays in 2018, but now that all the text and menus aren't pixel-doubled, it feels much cleaner, even though it's still just simple text and lines.

I haven't gotten too deep into it yet. I've mostly been experimenting with the anti-firefly features so far (despike, plus an option to cap how over-exposed different render layers can get).

I'm looking to buy a new house so I cant buy this right now but I wish I could. I'm still using LW 10 and someone was giving away a free file of the Discovery version of the USS Enterprise but couldn't open it.
