No I'm back in ZBrush again.
It works almost the same as Sculptris now and is mostly in quads instead of tri's.
Not that it really matters as stuff like this really needs a going over topology wise before it is really going to be usable in an animation package.
3D printing is a different animal and with a good decimation will work no problem.

Got a short bit to work on some sculpting today.
Was nice to mindlessly sculpt for a while.
Dynamesh to rough Plesiosaur.

So you'll be taking advantage of the new GoZ feature then?

@ wave of light..It is one of the greatest buttons added to the LW interface and will be getting pressed often by me I'm sure.
@ JimCrafton.. Have to finish the beast first. Some personal obligations are coming first though.
Will have to get some particle action going as well when it gets rendered out. Prehistoric water needs floaties

How quick is the transfer from LW11 to Zbrush?

I must admit it's a difficult decision for me at the moment. I can upgrade for $495 as I was part of HardCore. But I don't own Zbrush (which is on my wishlist), I've just upgraded my LWCAD licence, and a lot of the new features are really aimed at production and layout. So I may hang fire for the time being.

Now back with the thread... get this beast finished and rigged! Would love to see an underwater animation.

Thanks guys.
Wave of Light it is very quick in answer to your question. Sorry I took so long to answer.
Rob if you can find a way to part with the $100 you'll be glad you did.
The tiniest bit more....

That should be an interesting model. It's going to need a lot of lights.

and a shark, and R2 D2, the Chyrsler building, etc. I've thought about this one a few times, and in the end I built one of the small ones and just lighting that was a nightmare.

Well a crude R2 and Chrysler building can happen. Never saw the shark. A small van and some crude airplanes maybe.
Good to see you posting again Axeman.
Some faked lights just for you Rigel.
