Default High-Res Babylon 5 Ship Renders

The folks behind the B5 script books and other small-run behind-the-scenes products have created a Babylon 5 encyclopedia, both in print and on-line. The on-line version has some nice goodies, including 4k beauty renders of a surprisingly large number of CG models.

As a preview, they've put up two preview animations at the somewhat odd resolution of 1440p, an Omega exiting a jumpgate and a turnaround of the White Star.

Months to do a couple of clips? And 4 days to render short sequences using 1990's models at 1440p? What are they rendering it on?

I guess it's not for peeps like us. I could churn 4K B5 images out easily enough with the original assets, which let's face it, a lot have been out in the wild for a long time.

That does seem pricey as well. To be honest, B5 scrolls is a premiere resource.

Phase 3 (2018)

Additional planet and ship recreated CGI never before-seen video

Anyone we know helping with this? I know F3D grew out of LWG but there's a lot of B5 fan based CGI chaps around here. Be nice to know some are working on this and getting something out of B5 still.
