Default Architecture - Rye

Today I visited the historic town of Rye, I don't think I have ever seen an English town with so many historically well preserved buildings. Absolutely everywhere, people homes and shops, everything.

Also delightful to see a town with damn close to ZERO of the usual chain stores. I did not see one fast food joint.

It used to be a busy port, often at the forefront of historical threats from France, so you get the unusual combination of a maritime town that's not by the sea!

Nick

Nice little town. Named after a good drink too.

Beautiful photos Nick.
