Default Vehicles - Original Enterprise Filming Model

I was in Washington DC last week to do some Lobbying. (Yes, I went political.) Anyway, while there I did all the touristy stuff, but I went to the National Air and Space Museum for one specific thing.

Anyway, since the Enterprise is a good 1st build, I'm sure reference pictures will be useful.

And this is why the lack of fighter updates too. But I loved seeing things like the Capitol Building too.

Very nice; I would like to visit the Smithsonian one day.

It's hard to believe that model is almost 50 years old! But then, it's just a bit younger than I am.

I remember at one point, when I last was at the museum, back in the 80s; that the enterprise was hanging over the space exhibit. Unless they moved it since then.

Based on her photos, it looks like it's still in the gift shop.

I think they had it hanging over the space exhibit when I was there in 1993.
