I am not sure how much, but any boost to VPR is a bonus.

Is too early to say , but I really hope that newtek not will end like Autodesk ,each new "stable" version of 3DS Max you have to buy all the addons plug-ins again !

I think NT would kill off LW if that happened, some of us still use plugins written a few years ago. I wish NT would learn from the plugins produced, if a plugin or script is made its because that feature does not exist. If is regularly updated that's because allot of people support it, so really NT should make it within LW. Look at 11.6 and Jovian colour picker.

Ive heard that now some plugins work with more than 1 version of max but i dont know this for fact.

Agreed on both counts. 11.5 had some good stuff, 11.6 had good stuff but mostly as addons to LW. I do agree that they should stay as addons as opposed to the price of LW increasing in price to include them.

However i will probably upgrade to 11 before my special upgrading price runs out as i like the overall trend that LW is taking.

Yes, for exemple an owner of R12 can use the add-ons/plug-ins in R12 , R12.1...R12.6 and any R12.X version but have to buy all of thens again if he upgrade to R13.

Opposite to LW that some plug-ins I had used in LW 5.5 still in use in my LW 9.5 version

*urgh* stand alone tool..... I'd prefer to have that INSIDE of the layouter....

Also seems that NT is now going the 3dsMax/Maya/etc way. Buy the basic software, and the rest _extra_ as add-on..... That much for the "all in one suite".
